RRU Finito, Tofino

Finished a BSc in Environmental Management at Royal Roads University on Friday and after a well deserved celebration with classmates some teachers and partners I made my way gingerly to Tofino yesterday. What a place. Amazing. Enjoying the slower pace of life here at getting my bearings for the next week of camping, surfing, relaxing, and playing. Check out some photos from the last week or so.
Cheers,
JR

Web links

Kris, Jami and I made this cool animation for class today - regarding coastal energy development. Its pretty random but you might get a kick out of it. Follow the link below

On a completely unrelated matter, my buddy Callum actually makes sweet animations and his most recent short project is Tic Attack, a animated short for TicTacs. Small Fun, big enjoyment.

Gabriola Island, Schoolio

This week I returned to the Hatley Castle (home of gifted mutants....er humans), to start my third and final residency at Royal Roads University, following a not-so relaxing weekend on Gabriola Island. Thanks to some jerk on island, our friend Demitria no longer has a laptop....thanks!. All in all a very nice weekend, hopefully some pictures to follow.

Kris and I checked into All Fun RV park on sunday afternoon after dropping off the clan at RRU. We settled into our new abode for the next 3 weeks, a 20 ft 1978 Chevy Motorhome, fondly known as Benny. This beauty will shelter and facilitate our learning for the next 20 days.

Luckily for us a huge storm rolled in Sunday night and with the Hurricane gale force winds threatening to rip my beloved awning off Bennys 30 year old hinges and the gapping holes in the thin tin roof, I managed a quick, soggy 2 hr sleep for our first day back....Back to school, back to school.....

First day back I was delightfully greeted with a hell of an ecotoxicology final exam that was a real doozy. Relieved to have that over and done with, I settled back to class room learning and now its a beautiful Friday afternoon. Kris and I have a 15 minute bike ride to/from school and then return to the RV park for campfires, beverages and learning. Soo close.
